
Mike was born in Oakland, California in 1946 and immigrated to Canada with his parents in 1960. He attended Westmount High School and High School of Montreal and graduated from Sir George Williams University (B.Com) in 1970 and McGill University (M.B.A.) in 1972.
Mike joined Bell Canada in 1971 and moved with his family from Montreal to Ottawa in 1978. While with Bell he held a variety of middle management positions in Engineering, Marketing, Public & Regulatory Affairs, and H.R. From 1984 to 1986 Mike lived with his family in Dammam, Saudi Arabia where Mike worked as an advisor to the Saudi Telecom Expansion Project. Mike retired from Bell Canada in 2001.
Mike’s early volunteer activities were in support of Habitat for Humanity, Sustainable Ottawa, the Ottawa Carleton School Board and the Stewardship Committee of his local church. In 2005 he joined the Friends of the Canadian War Museum where he served as Volunteer Coordinator, chaired the Membership Committee and served as a director on the Board. Mike has been Volunteer Coordinator for TRHA since 2017.
When not volunteering at TRHA, Mike enjoys photography, woodworking and spending time in Ottawa and Toronto with his adult children and four grandchildren.
